Description

At 8 inches overall, this Damascus skinning knife is a small, light fixed blade with a 4 inch Damascus steel blade and a 4 inch handle. The upswept point and rounded belly follow the shape used for skinning, and the layered Damascus pattern forms in tight, flowing curves.

The handle uses two woods: a dark, richly grained wood at the back and a lighter wood near the blade. Brass pins hold the scales, a small inlaid medallion adds a detail on one side, and a lanyard hole in the end lets you add a cord. A short Damascus bolster blends the blade into the handle.

A small skinning knife like this is easy to control for detailed work on hides and game, and it fits comfortably in the hand. As a fixed blade skinning knife, it needs no folding or locking.
