Description
Description
Forged by hand from 1095 high carbon steel, this hunting knife has a long 12-inch blade set into a 6-inch stag antler handle, measuring 18 inches overall. That size makes it a big hunting knife, better suited to camp chores and backcountry trips than to small, detailed cuts.
Caring for 1095 Carbon Steel
1095 is a plain carbon steel with about 0.95% carbon and very little chromium, so it is not stainless. Dry the blade after use and wipe on a thin coat of oil before you put it away. Over time the steel can darken into a patina, which is normal for carbon steel. Don't leave the knife in its sheath for months, because leather can hold moisture against the blade.
The handle is natural stag horn. The color, texture and antler shape change from piece to piece, so your handle will look a little different from the photos and from every other knife.
Handmade by Unique Blades Runner, it arrives new and sharp with an original leather sheath. You can find more fixed blades in our hunting knives collection.
