Description

This hand forged Damascus Bowie knife keeps the classic Bowie shape at a more manageable size: an 8-inch blade on a 13-inch frame. It suits buyers who want a true Bowie profile without the bulk of the 10- and 12-inch models, and it rides comfortably on a belt.

The blade is Damascus steel, made by stacking and forge-welding layers of steel, then shaping them under the hammer. That process leaves the wavy, banded pattern across the blade, which varies from one knife to the next.

The 5-inch handle mixes three materials. Rosewood brings warm color and natural grain, brass adds a bright accent, and micarta, a resin-bonded laminate, gives a section that won't absorb moisture the way wood can.
