This handmade Damascus steel skinner knife keeps things compact, with a 4.5-inch blade and a 10-inch overall length that rides easily in its sheath. The blade's swirling, wood-grain-like pattern comes from forge-welding layers of steel, so the markings you see belong to this knife alone.
The blade follows a drop point skinning knife profile: the spine slopes gently down to the tip, leaving a broad, curved belly along the edge. That shape is the traditional choice for skinning work, where the belly does most of the cutting. As a small skinning knife, it is also handy for general camp and outdoor chores.
Rich, dark-grained wood scales are fixed with brass pins and framed by a polished bolster at the front and a flared pommel cap at the back, giving the grip a clean, finished look.
It arrives new and sharp as a skinning knife with sheath, and the included original leather sheath carries a tooled pattern with double stitching. Browse more in our skinning knives collection.
