This Owen Grady knife is a handmade replica of the belt knife Chris Pratt wears as the raptor trainer in Jurassic World. It measures 12 inches overall, with a 7-inch D2 tool steel blade and a 5-inch wood handle, and it arrives sharp in an original leather sheath.
Owen spends his days in the raptor paddock with Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo, so everything he carries is chosen to work. His knife on screen was a custom field blade made for the 2015 film by Kentucky bladesmith Steve Auvenshine, worn scout-style across the back of his belt. A near-identical knife comes back with him in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).
The design is all function: a sturdy, pointed blade that is long enough to be useful but compact enough to ride sideways on a belt without getting in the way. That practical character is what makes it one of the most recognizable pieces of Owen's kit.
This replica follows that working field-knife shape. It is handmade and is not produced by Steve Auvenshine.
This version pairs the profile with a natural wood handle, giving it a warmer, more traditional look than a synthetic grip. The grain varies from knife to knife, so each one is slightly different. Avoid soaking the handle, and a little oil now and then keeps the wood from drying out.
The 7-inch blade is D2 tool steel, a high-carbon, high-chromium steel that holds an edge well and resists stains better than plain carbon steel. It is not fully stainless, so wipe it dry after handling and oil it lightly from time to time.
Every knife is made by hand, so small differences in finish are part of its character, and the fitted leather sheath protects the edge for storage or display.
