Description

A heavy cleaver anchors this knife set with cleaver, joined by two chef knives, a utility knife and a paring knife. All five are handmade by Unique Blades Runner from 440C steel, with a bold etched wave pattern running across each blade and black Micarta handles that tie the set together.

The cleaver has a tall, squared blade with a hanging hole near the front corner, the same broad shape you would reach for as a meat cleaver knife when portioning cuts or chopping through thick vegetables. The two chef knives cover chopping, dicing and slicing, the utility knife fills the gap for sandwiches and smaller produce, and the paring knife takes care of peeling and trimming. Blade lengths range from 9 inches to 4 inches, and overall lengths from 15 inches to 10 inches.

Bolsters and handles

Each knife has a polished steel bolster with a decorative engraved panel, a thin red spacer, and black Micarta scales set with pins, a mosaic pin and a brass-lined lanyard hole.
