Description

Two finishes meet on the 8-inch blade of this chef knife with sheath: a hammered texture along the spine side and a polished face toward the edge. The blade is 440C, a high-chromium stainless steel, in a wide santoku shape with a straight spine and a curved tip, suited to chopping, slicing and dicing.

The wood handle is 5 inches long with a swirled brown grain, finished with a polished metal collar and a thin black spacer. That makes this wood handle chef knife 13 inches overall, and no two handles show exactly the same grain.

It is a handmade 8 inch chef knife from Unique Blades Runner, supplied new and sharp. The stitched black leather sheath that comes with it closes with a snap strap and keeps the blade covered in storage, so the chef knife sheath stays with the knife.
