This handmade jambiya knife follows the curved Arabian pattern carried for generations in Yemen and across the Arabian Peninsula. A deeply swept 7-inch blade rises to an upturned point, with a raised ridge running down its center, and the waisted handle flares at the top just as traditional jambiya grips do. Built as a collector replica, it pairs the classic outline with modern materials: D2 steel for the blade and black Micarta for the handle.
The jambiya is the curved knife worn at the front of the belt as part of men's traditional dress in Yemen, where it has long marked status and coming of age. This piece keeps its defining features. The blade curves steadily from the base to the tip, and the central ridge stiffens it along its full length, catching light on both sides of the polished faces. The hand-forged blade shows a lightly hammered surface beneath the polish, so no two pieces look exactly alike.
The handle narrows at the waist and widens into a broad, flat pommel, the signature jambiya grip that sits securely in the hand. Its black Micarta has a layered, mottled grain with a deep polish. A brass six-pointed star is inlaid near the base, and a thin brass collar finishes the joint where blade meets handle.
At 12 inches overall with a 5-inch handle, the knife is compact and well balanced in the hand. D2 is a high-carbon tool steel known for holding an edge and resisting wear, and Micarta stands up to moisture and handling far better than natural horn or wood. The knife arrives sharp and comes with a leather sheath for safe storage.

Wipe the blade dry after handling and add a light coat of oil now and then. D2 resists staining well, but it isn't fully stainless.
