These Dune 2 knives are a handmade replica set of the two blades carried by Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Austin Butler's ruthless nephew of the Baron in Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two (2024). The set pairs a long black blade with a curved white-handled companion, both in high carbon steel with leather-wrapped grips, and arrives sharp with leather sheaths.
Feyd-Rautha is built around contrast. His introduction on Giedi Prime, the Harkonnen homeworld, plays out in stark black and white under the planet's black sun, and his knives follow the same idea: one blade dark, one pale. He carries them as a matched pair, and they mark him out immediately from the Fremen crysknives and Atreides steel elsewhere in the film.
The black knife is the larger of the two, long and broad enough to sit somewhere between a knife and a short sword. The white knife is lighter and more elegant, with a sweeping curve to the blade. Together they suit a character who treats every encounter as a performance.
The reason blades matter so much in Dune is part of the story's world-building. Personal shields stop fast projectiles, but a slow-moving blade can still pass through, so knives and swords become the main tools of the noble Houses.
The long black knife measures 20 inches overall, with a 15-inch high carbon steel blade and a 5-inch leather-wrapped handle. Its dark finish and black wrap match the Harkonnen look. The second knife has a polished, curved blade and a white-wrapped handle with a matching guard, giving the set its signature black-and-white contrast.
High carbon steel takes a keen edge and has a traditional character, but it needs simple care. Wipe both blades dry after handling and add a light coat of oil from time to time. Keep the leather wraps dry, and a little conditioner now and then helps them last.
Each knife is made by hand, so small differences in finish are part of their character.
