A brass eagle head finishes the handle of this handmade Damascus hunting knife, giving a classic sheath knife a bold, sculpted end. The 7-inch Damascus steel blade carries a layered pattern from spine to edge, and the knife measures 12 inches overall.
The handle combines wood with brass, so the warm grain of the wood sits between bright metal accents that tie in with the eagle head pommel. That mix of materials gives the knife a traditional look that suits a hunting knife collection as well as general outdoor and camp tasks.
Damascus steel is made by forge-welding layers of steel together, which is why no two blades show exactly the same pattern. To keep the pattern looking its best, wipe the blade clean and dry after use and give it a light coat of oil before storing.
